What's changed in SafeHanded.

Plain-language notes on what's changed. Security and reliability updates ship all the time.

Send secrets sealed to the recipient's own passkey

With secure delivery, someone you send secrets to sets up a passkey once. From then on, what you send them is sealed to that passkey, so a forwarded or intercepted link opens nothing. A sealed share is safe to email or text as it is, with nothing to unlock on a call.

Secrets to your own teammates are now sealed to their vault, with no invitation. The audit log is a proper table, and long lists are paged.

  • Secure delivery: enter someone's email address in Send a secret and we invite them to set up a passkey. The secret can wait until they have, and then you send it.
  • Shares → Secure delivery lists everyone you've invited. Owners and Admins can reset or remove someone, a recipient who loses their passkey can set up again, and you're asked to check a changed key with them before sealing to it.
  • Secrets to teammates: a share to someone in your organisation is sealed to their vault. They open it signed in to SafeHanded, with their passkey.
  • Every page says when your vault is locked in this browser, and anything that needs it offers Unlock in place.
  • The audit log is a table with Time, Event, Actor, About and Client columns and numbered pages. Every list that can grow is paged, with sortable Created and Expires columns, and a new share starts at 3 views.
  • Security and reliability updates.

Shares sent by email or text now arrive locked

When SafeHanded emails or texts a share for you, the link now arrives locked. You unlock it for the recipient with a 6-digit code read to them on a call, or with the key words. There are also changes to how you manage people: disabling a member can now be undone, and offboarding is a separate, explicit step.

There are some smaller changes too. Times in emails, texts and ticket notes now show in UK time, and recovery phrases have a Copy button. A new Custom template lets the technician name the one field they need, such as "Door code".

  • Locked shares: a share SafeHanded emails or texts for you arrives locked. You unlock it with a 6-digit code read to the recipient on a call, or with the key words, which you can also give later from the share's page.
  • Disabling a member is reversible. It blocks their access and frees the seat, and re-enabling them brings back their keys, devices, requests and shares. Offboarding is now a separate action.
  • Removing a member keeps your organisation's history. Their requests, shares, audit events and certificates still show their name.
  • Each integration now opens on its own page with tabs. Every setting has its own Save button, and Remove asks you to type the connection's name.
  • A member who has lost every passkey and their recovery phrase can now start over with a new key. The help pages explain how the new key is approved.
  • A new How it works page walks through a handover in short animated scenes, and there's a full product demo video.
