MSP Process is a broad, AI-powered service-desk platform for MSPs: caller verification, password resets, an AI voice agent, and secure data sharing and requests logged to your PSA. SafeHanded does one job from that list: receiving a credential, encrypted to a person's passkey, tied to the ticket and purged when it closes.
MSP Process is a suite you buy to verify callers, reset passwords and send or request data, with every event logged to the ticket. SafeHanded is a focused, self-serve product for one of those jobs, receiving a credential, sealed in the browser to the technician's passkey so our server can't read it, bound to the ticket and purged when it closes. Same problem space, different depth and buying motion.
| Dimension | SafeHanded | MSP Process |
|---|---|---|
| Direction | Inbound first: the user hands a credential to the technician. | Both: Secure Data Sharing sends secrets out; Secure Data Request collects data from users on a branded page. |
| Encryption model | End-to-end, HPKE-sealed to the technician's identity key; passkey to reveal. | Client-side AES-256 for outbound shares, with the link carrying the key. Encryption for inbound requests isn't publicly documented. |
| Who can decrypt | For requests, only the named recipient(s), with their passkey (plus your organisation's recovery key, if you set one). | Outbound: the holder of the single-use link, after biometric or Authenticator verification. Inbound: only the requesting technician can see the data. |
| Ticket lifecycle | Created from the ticket, note back, auto-purge on ticket close. | Every share, access and expiry logged to the ticket; links burn on first access or expire. No purge-on-close documented. |
| Audit | Hash-chained, signed, exportable chain + SIEM + chain-of-custody certificate. | Event logging to the ticket and SIEM streaming. |
| Verification | Spoken challenge code, email or SMS one-time code, passkey step-up on reveal. | MFA-gated recipient, plus caller-identity verification across the platform. |
| Scope | A focused credential-handover product — no suite to buy or roll out. | A broad platform: caller verification, AI voice agent, password resets, Teams chat ticketing, secure sharing and requests, automation. |
| Buyer & motion | Self-serve, per-organisation pricing, for MSPs and internal IT teams. | Tiered plans with add-ons, quoted on technician and client volume after a demo; no public prices. |
| PSA coverage | Seven fully supported adapters, including Freshservice, ServiceNow and Zendesk. In preview: HaloPSA, ConnectWise PSA, Syncro, SuperOps, Atera, HubSpot and a generic webhook. Plus the API. No Autotask. | ConnectWise, Autotask, Halo, Kaseya BMS, Syncro, SuperOps, Freshservice, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, plus custom integrations via API or webhooks. |
| Maturity | New — built in 2026 for one job, done to a high bar. | Established, "trusted by 1,000+ MSPs and IT teams" — a broad platform, not a focused handover. |
Comparison based on MSP Process's public site and our own tested behaviour, as of September 2026. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we'll correct it.
If you want a full service-desk identity platform, verifying callers, resetting passwords, sending and requesting secrets, an AI voice agent, all PSA-native and white-labelled, and you're buying a suite rather than a single tool, MSP Process is a strong, established platform with broad PSA coverage we don't match.
When the job is specifically to receive a credential safely, and you want it sealed in the browser to a person's passkey so the vendor can't read it, bound to the ticket, purged on close, and provable in a tamper-evident audit, without buying a whole platform. It also suits internal IT teams a platform sale doesn't serve.
Detailed, equally honest comparisons with the other tools MSPs and IT teams evaluate.
Start free, connect a ticket, and watch a handover purge itself when you close it.
